About Ian and Ruth

Ian and Ruth are both 'displaced' Africans who have been living in the UK for the last 3 years. They have enjoyed their time in Stoke-on-Trent but they are happy to give in to the travel bug and go wandering.

Ian

Ian was born and grew up in Zimbabwe where he cultivated his love of the outdoors. He has combined this with his love of photography and is hoping to spend many happy hours using his camera on this trip.

Ruth

Ruth was born in Zambia and grew up in several African countries (including Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa). She suspects that this is why she is unable to settle in one place for a long time.
